The guest house of the Teutonic Order is surrounded by a wonderful Mediterranean garden in a middle-class neighborhood on the old Roman road \u201cVia Nomentana\u201d. The Art Nouveau villa with a total of 24 guest rooms was acquired by the Teutonic Order in the 1940s as the headquarters of the Procurator General of the Teutonic Order in Rome. The house has been run as a guest house since 1954: people from all over the world who visit the \u201cEternal City\u201d for religious, spiritual or other reasons, find an oasis of peace in the middle of Rome’s often hectic hustle and bustle.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, our house is not handicapped accessible; we do have an elevator, but the entrances to the house are only accessible via stairs.<\/p>\n
Due to the diversity of our guests from all over the world, pets are not allowed on our premises or in the house.<\/p>\n
In the neighbourhood are the early Christian churches of Santa Costanza and Sant’Agnese, which are particularly worth a visit for visitors interested in art history. There is also an early Christian catacomb on our property, which is unfortunately closed to tourism for safety reasons.<\/p>\n
